An AccessNet username and password enables you to log in to Temple technology systems and resources. The resources you can access depends on your role at Temple.
For example, the account gives current students, faculty and staff access to TUportal, the main hub for staying informed and managing your personal information at Temple, as well as TUmail, Library Resources, Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suite and the Canvas Learning Management System.
- Prospective Undergraduate Students
Complete the form on Temple's Undergraduate Admissions Request Information page. Select U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents or Foreign Nationals and Non-U.S. Citizens and choose a category. Usually within 24 hours, you will receive an email with account information.
Prospective Graduate Students
Complete the form on the Graduate School Prospective Students Information Request page. Usually within 24 hours, you will receive an email with account information. Note that this process may vary for Temple’s professional schools and some graduate programs.

If you officially retire as an employee from the university, you will automatically retain your AccessNet account after retirement.
If you are a faculty member with the official university designation as Professor Emeritus/Emerita, you will automatically retain your AccessNet account after retirement. For information about emeritus status, please see the Temple University Faculty Handbook.

A "Guest" is defined as an individual who is not a current Temple University employee, faculty member, or student. Guests can include but are not limited to employees of the Temple University Health System, visiting faculty, visiting scholars, contractors, vendors, volunteers, volunteer faculty who are not considered "faculty of record," temporary agency employees, and summer program participants. For more information, see Granting Systems Access and Guest Cards to Guests.
- Eligible sponsors can request access for a guest by completing Guest Access Request Form on TUportal under TUapplications.
- If you are a TUHS employee, contact the university Help Desk at 215-204-8000. A consultant will work with TUHS Security to submit and review the request.

- Go to accounts.temple.edu.
- Click Activate AccessNet account on the right.
