Adobe Creative Cloud

DYK: Temple offers Adobe Creative Cloud for current students, faculty and staff at no charge. Creative Cloud includes the latest versions of Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Illustrator and more. The software is available for Windows/Mac computers and includes access to Adobe online storage. Additional mobile apps are available for Apple iPhones/iPads, Android devices and Chromebooks. You have the option to install all the programs included or just specific ones you need.

Overview

Make It With Adobe Creative Cloud Graphic

As a registered Temple student or current employee, you can subscribe to Adobe Creative Cloud at no charge for coursework or work. The software is available for Windows/Mac computers and mobile devices, and includes access to Adobe online storage.  

  • As a student, you can install the Adobe Creative Cloud applications on one laptop or desktop computer only.  
  • As an employee, you can install the software on two computers, one of which can be personal.   

You also have the option to install all the desktop programs included or just specific ones you need. Adobe Creative Cloud also offers Mobile Apps and 100 GB of cloud storage for use with your subscription. 

Note: Many of the Creative Cloud products occupy a large amount of storage space on your computer and may require a modern processor and graphics card. It is important to review the systems requirements before you install any of the applications.

Renew Your Subscription Each Semester

Temple students, faculty and staff will be prompted via email to renew your Adobe Creative Cloud subscription prior to each future semester. To renew after receiving the message, log in to TUportal and, under TUapplications, click Adobe Creative Cloud and then click Subscribe. Your subscription will then be confirmed for the next semester.

Download Files

There are two ways you can download your files:

Option 1: Use the Creative Cloud desktop app
If you are using the Creative Cloud desktop app, then you should already have copies of your files stored locally on your computer. To access them perform one of the following:
- Open the Creative Cloud Files directory or folder from the Creative Cloud desktop app by clicking the Assets tab, then the Files panel and clicking Open Folder.
- In an app, choose File > Save or File > Save As and navigate to the Creative Cloud Files folder on your computer.

Option 2: Download individual files

Access Your Files in Temple's Computer Labs

To access your Adobe Creative Cloud files in Temple's computer labs, you will need to download them to your computer. When you are finished, you can then upload them back to the Adobe site.

To Download a File:

  1. Go to assets.adobe.com.
  2. Enter your @temple email address and click Continue. DO NOT click Continue with Google/Facebook/Apple.
  3. Click Company or School Account.
  4. When prompted, log in with your AccessNet username and password.
  5. In the Your Work screen, click a file you want to download. Then on the upper-right portion of the screen, click the three horizontal dots (• • • ) and then Download. The file will then appear in the Downloads folder on your computer. 
  6. When you are finished, return to the previous screen. Then click the blue circle icon on the upper-right portion of the screen and select Sign Out.

To Upload a File

  1. Perform steps 1 to 4 above.
  2. Drag and drop the file you want to upload to the Your Work screen.
  3. When you are finished, click the blue circle icon on the upper-right portion of the screen and select Sign Out.

FAQs for Students

Subscription

  • I already purchased Creative Cloud through Adobe. Can I get a refund?
    Yes, you can request a pro-rated refund from Adobe via phone or online chat. To request your refund, you will need to identify yourself as a current Temple student that is covered under the Temple University Student contract.  You can contact Adobe as follows:

    Online chat: You must be logged in with your current Temple Adobe account using your AcessNet to get support via chat.

  • Do I need to renew my Temple Adobe license?
    Yes. See the section above on Renewing Your Subscription Each Semester.
  • What happens if I leave the university?
    If you are graduating, you can extend your Creative Cloud account for one year from your date of graduation, for a nominal fee.

    If you are withdrawing and will no longer be a student, your license terminates immediately.
    Before your Temple Creative Cloud account expires, make sure to save your files locally on your computer

  • Can students in Temple Rome and Temple Japan participate?
    Yes
  • Can I use this software in China or Russia?
    Adobe Creative Cloud is not available for use in China, Russia and any other country where usage is restricted by local laws. You can, however, download your files ahead of time and work on them locally if you plan to travel to these locations.

Creative Cloud Storage

  • How long will my online files be retained?
    The files will be retained for 25 months after your Adobe Creative Cloud subscription ends.
  • I already have a Creative Cloud account. What happens to my files if I switch to Temple's program? 
    Adobe has instructions on how to migrate files to the new account.
