System Maintenance

Information Technology Services will perform work on the following systems on the days and times indicated.

Maintenance/Upgrade Details

System Maintenance:

To keep our systems current and provide the latest functionality, Information Technology Services will perform TUportal and Banner monthly maintenance on Saturday, October 30.

Timeline Details

  • From 7:00 am to 7:30 am (Eastern time), TUportal will be unavailable. During this time, a substitute page will appear with links to resources, such as Canvas, TUmail, Zoom, Microsoft 365 including OneDrive, MyHousing, Diamond Dollars and the TUlibrary databases.
  • From 10:00 am to 12:00 noon (Eastern time), the systems listed below will be unavailable. (TUportal will be available, but will have limited functionality.)

Banner

Banner Admin pages (formerly Banner - INB), which include Banner Finance, Banner Human Resources, Banner Student and Banner Advancement functions

Self-Service Banner (SSB) and its components

TUportal
- From 7:00 am to 7:30 am on Saturday, TUportal will be unavailable. During this time, a substitute page will appear with links to resources, such as Canvas, TUmail, Zoom, Microsoft 365 including OneDrive, MyHousing, Diamond Dollars and the TUlibrary databases.

- From 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, TUportal will be available, but you will not be able to view any Banner-related information, such as information listed under the Staff Tools and Banner tabs.

Recruit
The CRM Recruit system will be partially available:

- All applications and inquiry forms on the Web Front End will be active.
- Applications submitted will not be pushed to Banner during this time period; they will be manually pushed to Banner when all systems are back online.
- For graduate and professional schools, applicants can access the My Accounts page up during the maintenance and can upload documents. Documents will be moved to Xtender after all systems are back up.
- Staff/Screeners/Reviewers/Faculty will be able to access the CRM Recruit console; Banner and Xtender will not be available.
- AMCAS Import will run as scheduled; AMCAS documents will not be imported during this time.
- TUportal will be unavailable during the maintenance; therefore, applicants will be unable to schedule interviews and monitor checklist items.   
- All Banner integration workflow schedules will be turned off during this timeframe.
- Workflows that update or create checklist items will be turned off during the above timeline, enabling checklists items to remain in sync.

TUmobile will be accessible except for class schedules and grade information.

Note: Systems such as Canvas, TUmail, Zoom, Microsoft 365 including OneDrive, MyHousing, Diamond Dollars and the TUlibrary databases and will remain available during this maintenance period.
