Microsoft Announces Internet Explorer Vulnerability

Current Status:
Alert

Microsoft has announced another critical zero-day vulnerability this time impacting the Internet Explorer browser.

This vulnerability is dangerous as it impacts all versions of Internet Explorer and can be exploited to gain elevated rights of the logged-on user. With these rights, an attacker could create rogue accounts, install malware, or steal data from the impacted system.

We are in communication with Microsoft to determine when a patch will be available to install and recommend not using Internet Explorer with SU-Accounts on critical systems until patched.

If you have any questions, please contact the Help Desk through the tuhelp.temple.edu website or at 215-204-8000.
