Do you ever miss the convenience of using your Temple office phone when conducting business from off-campus? Here are some tips for making it seem like you are on-campus using your office landline rather than at home.

Set up call forwarding

Concerned about missing calls made to your office landline? Try call forwarding. This feature allows you to forward your calls to another phone. To enable call forwarding, log in to TUportal and select Telecom Self Service under TUapplications. Then click the Telephone tab and Call Forwarding and follow the on-screen instructions at the bottom.

Have calls appear to come from your Temple office

Interested in having your outgoing calls from home appear to come from your Temple phone number? Then try Caller ID Masking. To set up this feature, log in to TUportal and select Telecom Self Service under TUapplications. Then click the Telephone tab and Caller ID Masking and follow the on-screen instructions at the bottom.

Reset your voicemail passcode

Forgot your voicemail passcode? To obtain a temporary passcode, log in to TUportal and select Telecom Self Service under TUapplications. Then click the Telephone tab and Reset Voice Mail Passcode. Click the checkboxes to accept the statements that appear on screen, then click Click here to Reset Voice Mail Passcode.

Retrieve your messages via email
Worried about keeping up with your office voicemail? Then submit a request to receive email audio copies of your voicemail. The sender will appear as UnifiedMessaging@mail.temple.edu and the message will contain a sound file attachment with the extension .wav, which you can then play/download.
