When you've finished using a computer in a computer lab or shared space, just closing the browser is not enough.

For security reasons, it is important to actually log off when you're done so others can't open the browser and get into your accounts.

This is critical when you use the computer to access email, grades, banking, social media or any other personal information.

TECH BITS: Get Quick Control of Your Presentation (Faculty & Staff)

If you're giving a presentation and you want to get the audience's full attention or take a break, try this very simple tip. PowerPoint allows you to display a black or white slide at any time during your presentation by pressing a single key.

Press the "B" key to display a black screen or the "W" key to display a white screen. Press any key or click the mouse to return to your presentation.
