A conference call is helpful when you can't locate meeting space or wish to accommodate attendees located off campus. It is also an efficient way to hold short meetings. By calling in, attendees can participate in the meeting from the convenience of their offices.

As you know, TUportal is the main hub for accessing Temple's major systems. But did you know that TUportal also has a Unified Resource Center with nearly 200 links to training materials and system-related information?
If you find that you are taking Temple work home, be sure to look into the Microsoft Work-At-Home Software Distribution Program. Through this program, you can obtain free Microsoft software for your home computer for work-related purposes only (and not for family members). The software programs available for eligible faculty and staff are Microsoft Office 2010, Office Enterprise 2007, Windows 7 (32-bit), and Office for Mac Standard 2011 for the Mac.
Just about everything you need to do online at Temple can be accessed through TUportal. By logging in, you can access numerous systems, view your pay and benefit information, update contact information, check the organizational hierarchy, submit grades, and more.
Make it easy for people to remember your Temple email address by creating custom addresses. When you received your AccessNet account, you were given an account name that is displayed as your e-mail address. All Temple email users have the option to create an alternative email name known as an alias. An alias appears to be a separate e-mail address but messages are sent to your same account name account.
Tap into the Help Desk's central operations through the System Status page. Find out if a server is down, an upgrade is scheduled, or a new phishing scam is making the rounds.
The Help Desk is the central hub for tracking system and network issues, upgrade and maintenance periods, computer viruses, e-mail frauds, telephone availability, and just about anything that affects our technology resources. As issues are reported and also resolved, updates are quickly shared with the Temple Community in short, up-to-date news items on the System Status page.
Gartner is a leading technology research company that employs 4,800 associates and 1,250 research analysts to research, analyze, and interpret the business of technology and track trends. Information Technology Services offers free access to the Gartner research reports to all students, faculty and staff through TUportal.
The Knowledge Base is an online resource of over 1,400 questions frequently asked by the Temple community with answers from 75 administrative departments across campus. The database grows as questions from the community are added on a regular basis.

A newly upgraded and redesigned Cherry & White Directory has just been released. As a result of the Banner implementation, information in the directory now reflects the official records of the university for the first time.
With the new directory in place, now is a good time to search for your own information to make sure it's accurate.
