Special Notice for macOS Catalina

The Citrix Receiver app, required for connecting to the remote.temple.edu website, is 32-Bit and will not work on macOS Catalina. To access your computer or apps on the Remote Access website, please install Citrix Workspace version 19.10.0.13. This is the 64-Bit update to Citrix Receiver.

The instructions below explain how to:

  • upgrade Citrix Receiver if you currently use the Remote Access website, or
  • perform a fresh install of Citrix Workspace if you are using the Remote Access website for the first time.

Upgrade Citrix Receiver to Workspace

If you currently use the Remote Access website, perform the following steps to upgrade Citrix Receiver/Workspace to the latest version. Then proceed to the Mac instructions below to connect.

  1. a) Click the Desktop. b) Click the Go menu and select Applications. c) Double-click the Citrix Receiver or Citrix Workspace icon.
  2. Click the Citrix Receiver or Citrix Workspace icon on the menu bar and select Check for Updates.
  3. Click Download.
  4. Click Install.
  5. When notified the installation was successful, click Close.

Perform a Fresh Install of Citrix Workspace

If this is the first time you are using the Remote Access website on your Mac, perform the following steps to install Citrix Workspace. Then proceed to the Mac instructions below to connect.

  1. Go to:https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/mac/workspace-app-for-mac-latest.html. Then click the Download Citrix Workspace app for Mac button.
  2. Click on the Desktop. Then click the Go menu and select Downloads.
  3. Double-click CitrixWorkspaceApp.dmg.
  4. Double-click the Install Citrix Workspace icon.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Click Continue.
  8. Click Agree.
  9. Click Install.
  10. Click Continue.
  11. Click Close. Then follow the Mac instructions below to connect to the remote.temple.edu website.
