Don’t Take the Phishing Bait!
Universities throughout the county are targets for email phishing scams. Temple is no exception. The increasingly sophisticated phishing messages include fraudulent links seeking to obtain your personal information and passwords. They come from senders who claim to be Temple Security, the Help Desk, Blackboard, PayPal, well known banks and credit card companies.
If you receive a suspicious email, don’t hesitate to report it to abuse@temple.edu immediately. If the email is confirmed to be a phishing scam, Information Technology Services will block the message so other Temple community members don’t receive it.
