Remembering Inna: A Tribute to a Cherished Colleague

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Inna Pomeranets. Inna retired on January 31, 2023, after a remarkable 29 years with ITS. She began her career with us as part of Administrative Computing Services, where she supported mainframe applications and played a crucial role in the creation of OWLnet, the first online web application used by students to register for classes and perform other administrative functions.

Later, Inna briefly changed to the DBA team, then joined the TUportal team as a web and Oracle PL/SQL developer. Inna was a valuable and helpful teammate to so many who appreciated her willingness to collaborate, her knack for finding elusive bugs, and her love and passion for tea, food, travel and houseplants — some of which continue to be cared for by members of the Temple family at Temple and Villanova. Inna's kindness and quality of work were not only appreciated by her ITS colleagues, but also by the many university partners she supported over the years.

Inna will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and condolences are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time.
