OWLcard Mobile for Android

Ready to get your OWLcard Mobile set up on your Android device? Follow the instructions below. If you’re using a Samsung Galaxy phone, be sure to check out our Samsung Galaxy Phone Users instructions for specific tips. 

Before You Get Started

Make sure you've completed all tasks on the OWLcard Mobile Checklist, including setting up Multi-Factor Authentication. Please note that students must be registered for Orientation or for the current/upcoming semester on a domestic campus in order to set up OWLcard Mobile.

Set up OWLcard Mobile for Android

1. Enable NFC on Your Phone

  • Open Settings on your device.
  • Find NFC:
    • Look for NFC under Connected Devices or Connection Preferences.
  • Turn On NFC:
    • Toggle the switch to enable NFC.
    • (If you don’t see an NFC option, your phone may not support it.)

2. Enable Google Wallet

  • Open Google Wallet on your phone.
  • If Not Installed:
  • Skip Credit Card Setup:
    • You don’t need to add a credit card—simply return to your Home screen.

3. Install the Transact eAccounts App

4. Launch the Transact eAccounts App

  • Open the Transact eAccounts app.
  • Swipe through the introductory screens.
  • Tap Get Started to proceed. 

5. Find Temple University

  • Search for "Temple University" within the app.
  • Select Temple AccessNet Login.

6. Sign In

  • Tap Continue to navigate to the sign-in screen.
  • Enter your Temple AccessNet account username and password.
  • Log In to your account.

7. Select Your Device and Method

  • Choose your phone (device) and preferred method based on the prompt.
  • Continue to the next step in the setup process.

8. Verify Your Multi-Factor Authentication

  • Continue with the Multi-Factor Authentication request by selecting your phone and the method you wish to use (i.e. Push Notification, Phone Call, or Text Message).
  • Approve the request for verification.
  • Once you verify, you’ll be able to see your student print quota account balance, if applicable.

9. Add to Google Wallet

  • On the Eaccounts home screen, tap Add to Wallet located at the top of the screen near Campus ID.
  • Next, tap Add to Google Wallet
  • Agree to the terms of services and tap I Understand
  • Tap Accept & continue to complete adding your OWLcard to Google Wallet. 
Tips for using OWLcard Mobile
  • Wake Your Screen
    Make sure your phone screen is awake! This is your first step to success.

  • Check the Position of Your Phone
    Hold the middle of your phone near the top of the reader. 

  • Show Off Your OWLcard
    To display your OWLcard, open the eAccounts app, log in, and tap on the photo in the upper left corner.
